Evergreen Home for Special Care

Under direction from the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW), all indoor/outdoor and off-site visiting continues to be suspended in LTC facilities throughout Nova Scotia at this time. These visits are suspended until December 17, 2020, DHW will re-evaluate at this time and provide an update.

Designated Caregivers may continue their role in the facility.
Designated Caregivers to contact Andrea Cottrell (ext. 229) for Children Centre, or Nanette Velasco (ext. 304) for Senior Centre to discuss.

Family/friends can continue to engage with residents with video calls (call ext. 555 to arrange) and phone calls.

Evergreen is asking that families refrain from dropping off holiday packages for residents until December 14 and onward, due to limited storage space.

• Items that can be wiped down will be disinfected, then delivered directly to resident room.
• Items that cannot be wiped down will be isolated for 48 hours, then delivered to resident room.
