Evergreen Community Update # 19

Effective 8:00 AM, April 28th, 2021 the LTC Guidelines will be modified to reflect the following changes that have been recently announced.

The following changes are being implemented:

1. Indoor and outdoor visitation is suspended province wide, effective April 28th, 2021 until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 12th, 2021.

2. Volunteers are not permitted within our community for any reason including visitation, socialization or participating in recreation activities.

3. Licensed hairdressing services can no longer operate within long term care

Designated Caregiver

Designated Caregivers are considered essential, and may continue to visit with long-term care residents, regardless of where the Designated Caregiver is from.

Long-term care residents may continue to have two Designated Caregivers, however only one Designated Caregiver may visit at-a-time, and the visit must be coordinated with Evergreen Home for Special Care.

Medical/Dental appointments and sightseeing drives

Across the province, attendance at medical/dental appointments continues to be permitted. Designated Caregivers or other support persons may take their loved one to the appointment.

Sightseeing drives with Designated Caregivers, or in facility owned or leased vehicles continue to be permitted; however, no stops or drive-throughs are permitted.

Student Learners

Students are considered essential visitors, and currently, they are permitted to do placements in long-term care.
